Where can I park?
The wrestling room is located inside Henry Crown Field House. There is free street parking and on the weekend mornings, there is typically plenty of spaces within 1 block of Henry Crown Field House. This is on campus, making it a safe environment for your belongings/vehicle.
Where do I go to check in?
Once you enter Henry Crown Field House, there will be a table to check in in the vestibule immediately inside the doors on the SE corner of the building (the main entrance on the corner of University/56th) and wrestlers will show you to the locker and wrestling room.
What parts of the day are parents able to take part in?
Parents are able to take part in all parts of the day with the exception of lunch in the dining halls. There are numerous dining options within walking/short driving distance of Henry Crown Field House. We will have a space with seating for parents to observe wrestling practice in the wrestling room.
What do I bring?
2 sets of workout gear, regular clothes, water bottle, towel for showering, standard wrestling equipment: wrestling shoes, headgear, mouthpiece, kneepads, any braces, etc.
Are there lockers/showers available?
Prospects will have access to our locker room in order to shower. Lockers and towels will not be available but prospects can leave wrestling gear in the locked wrestling room in between sessions. Mats will be mopped before/after each session, and prospects are encouraged to bring extra workout clothes in order to shower after the sessions.
What if I have injuries or sustain an injury?
We will have a certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) either on site or available on call in order to address any injuries that occur. If you need to see an ATC for taping/some other need prior to wrestling, please contact Assistant Coach Matt Gentry at [email protected] PRIOR to attending the prospect camp.
Where can I stay overnight?
The University of Chicago also has nearby lodging recommendations which can be found here. Additionally, there are numerous hotels in beautiful downtown Chicago.
What about my child’s safety?
The University of Chicago maintains its own police and security force to ensure the safety of all community members. The University of Chicago is currently ranked #6 in the US News and World Report and would not have this outstanding ranking if on-campus security was an unaddressed issue. Prospects are required to be with current student-athletes at all times and for more information, please visit the campus security website.

- 8:15 AM - Registration and Check in
- 8:30 AM – Technique Wrestling Session 1
- 10:45 AM – Campus Tour
- 11:30 AM - Lunch in Dining Hall with Maroon Wrestlers
- 12:30 PM - Admissions Presentation on academically highly-selective colleges and financial aid
- 1:15 PM - Q&A Panel with Student Athlete
- 2:00 PM - Technique and Live Wrestling Session 2
- 4:00 PM – Camp wrap up

Prospects are required to follow the schedule and will be with current student-athletes at all times.
